I understand that this method(drug treatment at home)may work for some people. What about the individuals that are in no place to make that decision for themselves(or the families to make for them since it is only going to enable them farther).

Even the people that truly want help are still under the influence of drugs so their judgement is impaired. They may think that they can do it without treatment but to me that leaves to many openings to give in to their addiction and relapse.

To me it is almost like setting someone up to fail. In my opinion the user will have plenty of time to re establish activities of daily life AFTER treatment when they have learned to actually avoid situations that lead them to using.

I have a lot more to say but I am pretty upset at the moment with a family members decision for the user in our life. I don't think some people take this serious enough, they think the user can just quit. It doesn't work like that.

I believe that if a family is coming together and stepping in to help get rid of an addiction they should(when possible financially) get the user into an in patient program. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE USER IS WILLING!!! WHY KEEP THEM AT HOME!!!???? UGH!!
